What Happens at a Song Circle?
We gather in a circle, take a few deep breaths to land in the space, and then dive into song.
How we learn: There is no paper and no pressure. We learn by "call and echo"—I sing a line, and you sing it back. Before you know it, we are all woven into a collective song.
The Songs: We choose songs that are short, soulful, non-religious, and rhythmic. They are easy to catch and hard to forget.
The Cost: We believe in an accessible community. Our circles are Pay-What-You-Can (Suggested: $20), and no one is ever turned away for lack of funds.
How to Contribute: We accept cash at the circle or via Venmo: @Rakefet-Laviolette. Your contributions help keep these circles sustainable and accessible for everyone.

You don’t need to bring a perfect voice, but a few small things will help you feel at home in our circle:
Hydration: Singing is a physical act! Bring a reusable water bottle to keep your voice clear and your body hydrated.
Comfort: Many of our pop-up locations are outdoors or in casual studios. Bring a camp chair, yoga mat, or a cozy blanket to ensure you can relax into the song.
An Open Heart: Leave your inner critic at the door. Bring a willingness to listen, echo, and connect with the voices around you.

Sing For Connection is a "floating" circle. We don’t have a fixed studio; instead, we host pop-up gatherings in beautiful spaces throughout Austin—from neighborhood parks to quiet community studios.
