Rakefet Laviolette (pronounced ruh-KEF-et) is dedicated to healing and connection through the power of song. Born in Israel and raised in rural Pennsylvania, her name means cyclamen, a delicate flower that blooms in rocky places—an image that beautifully echoes her journey.
A psychotherapist, US Army veteran, and breast cancer thriver, Rakefet brings a unique depth of compassion to her circles. She is a graduate of the Ubuntu Choirs Network's Community Choir Leadership Training and infuses every gathering with playfulness and emotional resonance. She is also a bonus-mom, loving wife, and "momma" to two chihuahuas and a grey tabby.
Guided by Gabrielle Roth’s words, “Your voice takes you to your heart,” Rakefet creates spaces where people feel safe to show up authentically, explore their voice, and discover the joy of singing together for connection not perfection.
